We were asked to contribute to the project generating options for the future of an acute hospital site in London.
A business case had been prepared to de-merge one of the provider’s hospital sites and transfer operations to a neighbouring Foundation Trust.
Interest had been expressed in acquiring the provider’s other hospital site, but plans could not be brought to fruition. Therefore, there was an urgent need to generate and test options for possible future roles for the remaining site.
Our contribution was to analyse the current income and expenditure of the provider and assist with the breaking down of all items by site. This assisted with financial planning for each site and allow options to be tested so that a financially sustainable plan could be drawn up as soon as possible.
