We were pleased to help a consortium of 19 commissioners and their emergency ambulance services provider work through a range of financial issues and establish a transparent financial envelope for the years ahead.
This involved building on work already started by an independent service review, updating the findings and taking all parties through a 6-month programme of diving into detail where needed and using mediation techniques to reach a fair solution. As the individual members of the commissiong consortium had different demographics, histories and priorities, it was important that they found a way to speak with one voice. Mediation provided the means to that end.
As a result, financial envelopes were agreed before the start of the financial year, in good time to allow for forward planning of service delivery.
